That kid getting the umbrella stuck between the elevator doors reminds me of something I saw at a hospital a few years ago when I was working graveyard shift as a courier. I'd made a delivery at the hospital lab and went back to the stairway up to the main floor. The stairway was by the elevators and someone from housekeeping had plugged a vacuum cleaner into a socket on the wall opposite the elevator and as I was approaching, got on the elevator with the vacuum. I could tell just from looking that she was not the sharpest pencil in the box and said to myself "This is not going to end well for her". Sure enough the vacuum starts up and the doors close. I stand and watch as the cord goes up with the elevator. And then the alarms go off. I bolted up the stairs and to the front lobby to tell the guards why their alarms were going off. Apparently this was not the first time this had happened.
Nothing weird at all.
