Routine infant circumcision (RIC) in the USA is often done without any anesthesia, and is always done without sutures. After a certain age (1/6/12 months), sutures and anesthesia are always required. This is why RIC is much cheaper than circumcision performed later in life. I also agree that the pain and discomfort of RIC are not remembered (in no way does this fact justify RIC).
Kinda why I don’t get cosmetic circumcision, everyone and everything wouldn’t have it if it wasn’t meant to be there (also I get religion).

I started puberty at 9 and i and i was very short. I got a 4 inch growth spurt 1 1/2 yrs back and i am still very small – 5'2. I look like a 16 yr old and even started growing a beard on my chin. I got the deepest voice when i was 11. I am currently 13 1/2 yrs old. All of my friends and classmates are 5'7 – 5'8.
I am very worried about my height.
I had my son circumcised when he was a baby. I just didn’t want him getting teased for looking different. He’s 10 now. I just remember getting teased, thinking that something was wrong with me. I didn’t want my son to go through that😬.

They did not bring up the real reason most circumcisions are done in developed countries. MONEY. Circs are a multi-million dollar industry in developed countries. Do you think doctors want to give up that cash cow? And of course the most important factor is that it is a surgical procedure done to baby boys without their consent. Rightfully, it should be outlawed in every country.

Well even though my parents weren't raised in the aforementioned religions I was thankfully circumcised because of the health benefits it provides. The video mentioned that it was something that was an evolutionary trait improved upon over time but for everything that I know of it's draw backs I think that it's something that should have been eventually eliminated over the process of evolution. Well perhaps one day our extraterrestrial overlords will see it fit to correct that mistake that the previous ones overlooked.
