This week our Sun puts on a happy face as a set of coronal holes give us a whimsical image of a Jack-o-Lantern, just in time for Halloween. These coronal holes will be sending us some fast solar wind and could give us some decent aurora over the holiday weekend. Aurora photographers could see aurora dip down into mid-latitudes multiple times over the next several days. Outside this impending storm, amateur radio operators and GPS users should enjoy reasonably quiet conditions on Earth’s dayside with low risk for radio blackouts early this week. But things may begin to change around mid-week due to some activity on the Sun’s farside that will be rotating into view of Earth over the next few days. Noise on the radio bands will likely increase as we move into early November on Earth’s dayside. On Earth’s nightside, GPS users should remain vigilant anywhere near aurora and near dawn and dusk once the solar storm hits. Learn the details of the coming fast solar wind, when and where to see aurora, and find out what else our Sun has in store!

Thank you for a informative presentation.
Best 73!
Tamitha you were correct about last week and we took advantage. Thank You as always for being spot on.
🎃
Thank you !!!
Fingers crossed
For central MN for Aurora
❤❤❤❤❤
Why do you keep putting this propaganda out there. If you look at the whole thing it looks like Hitler. Halloween and Hitler, perfect.
Can u help us understand “solar flux” and the numbers on that ??
Thank u !!!
You're one of the few content creators that I genuinely look forward to seeing each week. Thank you Tamitha ❤️❤️
I knew something was up. I reached Hungary from my QTH in Georgia today with only 5 watts SSB using my magloop sitting in the middle of my living room. Thank you so much for these observations and predictions. You really make my day💯👍🏿🙏🏿😎🙆🥂🙏🏿🖖
Love your Halloween lecture for today and all the updates on this October’s Sun activity Dr. Tamitha 🎃
Wow,that's spooky.👻🍁🌹
YeeeHaa, Time for some QRP CW DX, You Ham's know what I am talking about.
Thanks for all your good news☀️
It looks like a funky koala bear to me 🐨
Happy Halloween, Tamitha 🎃🌞
Thank you Tam 😎🌞🔭

HaLLOWEEN =Hollowed HoLLOwed- take something out and replace it with something else. ex: Lords prayer – Hollowed be thy name
WEEN = WEAN – to stop from eating one thing and replace it with something else slowly.
Candy – some scholars say Sugar is the Devil it feeds the serpents inside you.

Never seen a happy face sun before. DKIST images will be spectacular! Mahalo Tamitha! WH6DSF.
Wasn't it a few years ago the sun gave us a spooky face near Halloween? I want to say it was 2018ish
He's behind you Tamitha run for your life! Straight to your radio shack with solar flux staying that stable, good times. Thank you Tamitha excellent report ❤✨👻
Sure it's not a "sun bat"? 🙂
I ❤ your 🎃 Sun Thank You so much and have a Happy Halloween
Thanks Tamitha & Happy Halloween everyone & festivities to come after

This is in the 5th dimension. Star Wars; great war in heaven. Currency is mercury and mercury is pharmacy so put it in the alt 440 https://youtu.be/2Tw3PLCS1lA
Thanks for the wonderful content. Was wondering if the k index and noise can be predicted and made part of your metrics presented. As an avid ham radio op, those two metrics seem to be key in the availability of DX signals. I love this subject and am eager to learn. Thanks !
Funny thank you.
Happy Halloween, Dr. Skov! Tim, N3YQV
Dang Girl . like your posts and thanks for your info
I hope this thing kicks back up for Halloween so I can wear my favorite hat. The quiet time has been nice though.
Shungite Build Up In the SUN
At 7.00 a huge tornado is blown off the Sun (top left) into space 7.30.
I like the idea of the Sun having a Halloween Face! Thanks for your broadcast, it helps me with understanding propagation on the amateur radio bands.
Happy halloween!
It's I portant the photo or film is shown from the data collecting. Interesting it has a varied chance to not show as it could.
Tamitha I am posting it thanks
Awesome work 🧐
That's Julie Green's smile in the Sun. We programmed her into the plasmatic capacitor, for the mommy-less Earth children. Love, Energy's Us
Thank you for your educated mind teaching us.
Pumpkin 🌞
Keep up ur good work Tam !! Luv ya mate
Good to see such a calm, sense of humor (humanity) in such a report. Always look for positives.
Did that storm hit us or miss us or are we still waiting to see?
The Sun puts on a happy face… oh the irony. The Sun is laffing at us, and it's going to burn our butt's when it micronovas. 😎
Looks like a lion to me
