Many accusations against Columbus come from a competitor for his job as local governor. These accusations were, to a significant extent, disproven. I don't know if Columbus was a great guy or not, but the eagerness over the past 50 years to disparage former heroes of Western history indicates a mass psychosis.

He asked where they got it and they told him dark skinned travelers. That gold that was on the tip of the spears was found on West Africa. They followed the same currents that the hurricanes follow
