The GSL has nothing to do with climate change rather an ever expanding population diverting water from the lake.

I've got about twenty to twenty five years left in me so….. Good luck y'all 😅

Humans are just animals. We are going to extinct someday. Dont worry about it today. Live your life, smile, love. And dont let them make you afraid. Its all about the money

@_Ben___ September 19, 2023 at 3:54 pm

I've been to New Zealand, its a terrible place, you definitely don't want to go there.

@MelissaLatimer September 19, 2023 at 8:18 pm

Climate is expected to change as it says in the Bible 🌼

@chrisoffersen September 19, 2023 at 10:47 pm

Interesting borders on Africa there

@anthonymorris5084 September 19, 2023 at 11:50 pm

The best place to live is anywhere that embraces democracy, capitalism and inexpensive reliable energy. The modern world is what keeps you safe. The modern world mitigates and neutralizes threats from warming. Threats from everything.

@buckmclean8391 September 20, 2023 at 12:54 am

Something tells me that no matter where you live, stay put and you'll be fine.

@NZKaupoi September 20, 2023 at 2:19 am

No need to move as I’m in New Zealand 🇳🇿

@jacklarson6281 September 20, 2023 at 6:11 am

don't worry man, the super-rich will find a way to survive..

@j.jarvis7460 September 20, 2023 at 1:57 pm

There is no climate change there is only power hungry governments

I think it's time to invest in some nice Michigan property. Detroit anyone?

I've been shopping here in the PNW for a 48' trawler to convert to Solar & Wind power. #GotNoMoneyTho

@BlackOpMercyGaming September 20, 2023 at 4:39 pm

I tend to use your channel as white noise, because I enjoy the topic and your voice… As a fellow Texan, departing the summer of 2023, how are those discussions about moving going now? Last summer was bad… This summer was prophetic… It is what people were warning us about for the last 10 years.

@The2wanderers September 20, 2023 at 6:06 pm

I live far enough north that temperature is probably not a big risk. We did get our first 40°C days a couple years ago, but mostly we still see only 5-10 days a year topping 30°.

Anyway, the problem here is wildfire smoke. It's been increasing since 2017 and this year absolutely blew the top off with most of the summer lost. It's adding to our list of reasons to move (reactionary politics have also made us very uncomfortable here), but are still trying to figure out where would be reasonably insulated.

@johney3734 September 21, 2023 at 1:50 am

i shape my life around this.. we are saving to move to Tasmania

@Uesrnameunavalable September 21, 2023 at 7:37 am

Mr Scott, first I would like to thank you for your video and for the obvious research that went into it. There was however one small issue that distracted from the otherwise well planned content, this being that the interior borders on the maps of Africa and South America which were shown seem to have been switched. This was obviously done in error, however as stated the mistake distracted from the reminder of your segment.
Sincerely
Jay

@angeladawn805 September 22, 2023 at 8:34 am

Ireland would be no good if they have to import the majority of their food. Thanks to Putin's mental antics, Ukraine's food production and yields are threatened. The richest countries will be able to pay the increased costs of grain…. But the poorer countries are stuffed. There's already a migration of refugees on the move – the Mediterranean is full of corpses. The media is happy to spread fear and hate in the name of click bait…… It doesn't look good

@TheLRider September 22, 2023 at 11:27 am

Ha ha dream on. The Climate is rapidly escalating to a position where it will be too warm and too wet and too windy etc etc. Nothing we are doing is shifting that needle any way near to reversing the damage being done. CO2 and CH4 emissions are still climbing. Period. When realistically do you think that that trend will Change? Because until that changes we are heading collectively forv massive disasters the like of which humanity have never experienced. So quit pretending and get real. Or come up with some answers. Good luck mate.

@wemustbecomemachines2012 September 22, 2023 at 12:36 pm

I'm just gonna do what the famous environmentalists do….buy beachfront property…

@williamhealey1223 September 22, 2023 at 3:56 pm

I'm a long time resident of Eastern Pennsylvania and I've long missed my cooler summers and cold winters. Been thinking about moving up to Lake Erie. It still snows in feet there in winter.😊

@inabsentia439 September 23, 2023 at 10:26 am

Don't lecture your audience about what they are doing to address climate change, when the US does NOTHING!

@williamedstrom5681 September 24, 2023 at 1:41 am

I've looked at Buffalo and other Rust Belt cities, but the blizzards are a lot, especially considering that I want to car carless or at least car-light. That said, the next big risk likely to actually force my hand would be an insurance catastrophe here in OR similar to FL or CA.

@Tupelosandtoads September 26, 2023 at 11:06 am

AI and tech pushes surplanting financing to climate initiatives is very much deliberate. The infrastructure is quietly being put in place for the wanted. The unwanted will be held behind fences. The fences are not for right now, but for just around the corner.

@Jo3M September 26, 2023 at 8:04 pm

I live in NZ and I worry about countries with power and bad climates coming here with bad intentions. It's going to be an eventful century for sure

@tibsyy895 September 26, 2023 at 11:29 pm

Switzerland!

@joymahiko September 27, 2023 at 5:23 am

So why aren't ALL climate "scientists", "experts", activists, and democrats FLOCKING to these areas?! Both Brandon and Barrack have multi million dollar BEACH HOUSES next to a so-called rising oceans. When you propagandists put your MONEY where your mouth is, you will be at least thout of as SINCERE. Till then…STOP telling us what to believe.

@pizza_mana September 27, 2023 at 4:14 pm

lol, like you can hide from climate change… how would you grow crops, hunt, or build in a "tropical" arctic circle with no game, viable seeds for that soils composition, or trees. I suppose living in a cave consuming weeds, and condensation could be someone's idea of "surviving."

@FrankensteinDIYkayak September 28, 2023 at 1:12 am

every bit as much as an issue as liiving in the right place to survive is hhaving easy to repair rugged multifuel transportation like with an embert gassifier, stirling engine, or steam engine. how feasible is that when Biden wants to do away with US autoindustry?

@keviniverson3435 October 2, 2023 at 9:28 pm

As most weathermen are wrong a good share of the time, the doomsday climate changers may ir may not be spot on. Dinosaurs were around for millions of years before an environmental change probably wiped them out. Extreme politics, masses of human occupation among many other factors should all b considered before pulling up stakes and relocating. Having said that I would not consider a US State where water fights were already happening. Nuclear war and subsequent fallout should b another top priority on where in the world one could survive and thrive.

@graemebaguley3778 October 4, 2023 at 3:12 pm

I see what you did there with the African and South American country lines. 11:31

@ia8018 October 4, 2023 at 5:46 pm

The idea of lifeboat countries existing is a very misleading one. Those "lifeboat" countries will collapse as any other.

@jenrosejenrose7417 October 14, 2023 at 10:30 am

If it wasn't for the wildfires, where I live would be ideal, far enough above sea level, medium temp, good growing land, but yoikes the fires… We've adapted, air conditioning, air filters, masks…

I've lived my whole life within a few degrees of the 45th parallel, though across thousands of miles. In summer I wish we could dome our property to keep the smoke out, but that tech isn't there yet.

@victormarley November 5, 2023 at 10:50 pm

the projections of african borders over the south America map and vice versa was TOUGH brother…

@christianchellis9057 November 6, 2023 at 6:40 pm

I wonder if mars is going to be in the discussion.

@christianchellis9057 November 6, 2023 at 6:44 pm

I wonder if as more people migrate north for that reason there will be the conversation that the united Statians should give up the land for the third-worlders most effected, because they are who caused their displacement, so displacing those that have caused the climate disaster would be tit-for-tat.

@kiminimuchu__ November 17, 2023 at 4:23 pm

11:30 The country lines inside the forms of Africa and South America are swapped, it looks completely bizarre. Africa is shown with the South American countries and South America is shown with the African countries. I don't even understand how does a mistake like this can happen, wtf.

@aidenbrunner0319 November 17, 2023 at 7:45 pm

bro do not come to the great lakes i like it here don’t ruin it

@KeKe-bv8qv November 28, 2023 at 1:45 am

I'm suddenly reminded of Coober Pedy in Australia where most of the homes are underground because of how incredibly hot it is.
But it's also incredibly dry, so I doubt that kind of thing would work in places expected to have increases in humidity alongside heat.

@Charlie_2363 December 7, 2023 at 6:33 pm

Use invidious or anything other than youtube. 0:03

@allisoncrooks4493 December 15, 2023 at 6:21 am

Being from south Louisiana I want to leave now lol. It was 80 today. On December 14th. 11 days before Christmas we are wearing shorts and running the air lol. I can’t deal with it getting any hotter. The Great Lakes sounds good to me 😂😂😂

@jonathanmillner January 8, 2024 at 10:33 pm

Duluth Minnesota! It used to be famed for it's brutal winters. Now… not so much… It's a cool town. Check it out! On a further note, I grow grapes and make wine in Minnesota. 20 years ago, the season was barely long enough to ripen some grape varieties. Now… there is often 2-3 weeks of viable season left after our grapes are well ripe and harvested. Seeing the change is pretty straight forward in my world…

@Cross_theline January 11, 2024 at 4:53 am

Yes it certainly has been getting warmer, since the little ice age, which got considerably cooler, since the Medieval warm period, which means the middle ages saw man survive temperatures warmer than we have now, in the medieval period, sans modern technology. But in all seriousness tho, the apocalypse is coming next week unless we cut carbon and all fossil fuels today. So maybe nuclear power is the way to go then? Oh no its not that much of an emergency, the apocalypse is more like the week after next, so better to risk arrmageddon than risk a nuclear meltdown going off somewhere then.

@Sheepleton February 3, 2024 at 12:43 am

I'm predicting extreme weather for the rest of eternity. See how easy it is to be right? When scientists have an agenda they always find a way. Thousands and thousands of miles of coast line was supposed to be submerged by now displacing millions of people and….nothing. We're wrong about space, we're not sure about creation, we're constantly discovering that we've always been clueless. I've been waiting for 40 years (ever since grade school when the scare about the ozone layer was the major buzz) and nothings happened! Not a single person can definitely say any climate predictions have remotely come true. Guess what? We can't kill the earth but it can kill us whenever it chooses.
