In this weather forecast, we are breaking down a DIFFERENT weather pattern that we’ve not seen in quite some time, which is an Omega Block pattern! This will lead to much warmer weather than average, in addition to less rainfall for most of the USA. However, this will take an interesting twist because MULTIPLE storms will crash into California over the next few days, leading to some energy moving into the Southern Tier of the USA, which will lead to isolated severe weather and plenty of rainfall! These will impact areas like the Southern Plains, Mississippi Valley, Midwest, and Ohio Valley. This weather pattern is a part of El Nino, which has led to more active weather in the Southern Tier of the USA, while the Northern Tier has been less active. 2020-2021 winter forecast: Here’s what weather Canadians can expect

COVID-19 means more Canadians will be spending the winter at home than ever before and trips to tropical beaches will likely be replaced with local outdoor activities like skiing, skating and snowmobiling, but all of this requires snow.

In a typical La Niña winter, much of southern Canada gets blanketed in snow thanks to an active northern jet stream and an almost constant supply of cold air feeding south from the Arctic.

Unfortunately, computer models are not in agreement with the upcoming winter so confidence in my forecast is lower than usual.
