Rubbish! The real reason for flooding is because greedy developers have been allowed to put houses, concrete and tarmac over areas which were known flood plains and run off areas. Where I live the drains are all blocked with leaves that the council just left to rot in the gutters. It rained all day here and it wasn’t that heavy but it flooded because a local ditch was blocked with rubbish. The fire brigade cleaned it out and the floods started to recede almost immediately. Local authorities rarely flush the sewers and street drains through like they did in the 1960’s when I was a lad. They never dredge the rivers either. It’s yet another example of our politicians belching out hot air and doing nothing about the practical things that really matter.

Every single year for the last 34 years of my existence, during the autumn and winter seasons have always brought destructive winds and flooding somewhere in the UK. this is normal seasonal weather. could the government do more to stop the destruction? Well starting with better drainage and flooding preventatives, then yes. At the end of the day it's nothing new.

We only had the coldest summer June 1955 -5.6 , I bet it has nothing to do with the solar flare late last year🤔
