The ferocious seafaring vikings were a feared Scandinavian invader from the late 700’s AD. Over three centuries their ships carried the ruthless warriors to nearby and distant lands, which included the British Isles and northern Europe. They ranged as far as Northern Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and present day Turkey and Canada. Doing battle as pirates, raiders and traders, the Viking voyagers formed settlements and governments in many parts of the world, establishing themselves and their descendents as rulers and nobility.

Could those with half a brain or more please stop calling the Norse invaders/traveler’s Viking,(and no you are not “part Viking” they where never a people, you are part Scandinavian/Norse, but if that confuses you then you should end your gene line now) It was a profession not a people it is like calling all white wester people slavers. (yes some of them did it, but it was a job at the time not a race/nationality’s)
There is some distant Scotish that runs in my family along with that is a little danish which I believe comes from Scotland from my dad's side of the family. We can only trace back to 1800s in Boston through the Colson family.
Hemochromatosis also.

Both my hands are torn up with Duputryns, lost a pinky to it. A therapist told me it was karma for being a nasty Viking in another life. I believed her.

I'm from Lancashire in North West England and I was always curious about Vikings, though didn't know why. When I was a kid, I went to the doctor a couple of times as my little finger was painful on my left hand and pulling inwards. Can still feel it now as I hold my phone! I'm dark haired and dark eyed so never thought I would have Viking ancestry but low and behold did a test and it says 8 per cent Norway. The more research I do and the more I look into it, there were lots of norse settlements in Lancashire/Cumbria. I'm tall and big boned so maybe there is a Viking in there somewhere!
They never ended up in either Canada or Australia. Also vikings are not a race it was an act/job type thing it’s a title fore pretty much a farmer army as the vikings were farmers and travellers
Ive never until now heard of dupuytrens contractures. I have suffered from this since I was a young adult. On both hands my pinky and ring fingers would lock up randomly and become “robotic” like in function. From what i Know my fathers side is European. (Italian and english). We dont speak and i dont really know anything regarding his side of the family. This video now has me curious, perhaps there is a correlation within my ancestry?
Time for a refund from the Nordic races.
the only time your dna should not be ignored is when illnesses are likely because of it. rethink your title.
Robinson or mann
The name only half works bc if its your mum with the viking dna then u dont get the viking name
Due to discoveries in DNA studies, the times pan at issue, and metrics of population realities, any genealogists suggest that most northern European people have Charlemagne himself for an ancestor.
He was from Viking heritage.
i have viking blood, my ancestors and part of my family is viking icelandic
