Does he have eye shadow on?
Well I bet he feels dumb now because Day After Tomorrow really happened and it was a real movie. It was a true story so I'm suprised he didn't know about that if he's a meteorologist.
I learned more in this video than I did ever in school
I disagree with him saying that natural catastrophes are horrible. It is a natural process of the planet that's constantly changing. Humans just happen to be in its path and deemed it "horrible."
The loss of life and property is horrible yet it can sometimes be prevented if not avoided.

If I remember correctly, the Pilger Twins were actually triplets at one point.
Really loved listening to this guy!
Wasnt the point of this movie to portray unnatural phenomena?
Edit: talking about a day after tomorrow
A meteorologist is someone who spends 4 years getting a degree in guessing.
Why not just stick an instrument on a. Like. Rover or drone or something and fly it into the path of a tornado? Then you don't have to guess where the tornado will go.
hey when i was little i was outside on a somewhat odd day in saudi arab and suddenly in front of me there is spinning air going upward taking a lot of garbage and all that and just vanishes in a heartbeat
21:13 best movie of all time π
I feel special now, I'm in CO, and saw two at the same time a few miles apart
Randy Marsh: "It's not going to matter…..THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW…"
He has such a nice voice could hear him talk about this more for hours really
They were able to predict when Mt Pinatubo was going to go up
35:09 well that turned dark fast .. no hope for the people vacationing at the beach at all ..π
"Hey, maybe we should ask a meteorologist. Nah, I got this!"
Him: Haboobs dont really last that long
Me living in the US: Yeah tell that to the Saharan dust storm that crossed an entire ocean and covered the entire US in dust.
Not only that lighting CAN strike twice, it happens often as the conductive channel is "made" by the 1st discharge, a few follow soon after. And "soon" may be so quick, you would think it's just 1 discharge while it's actually a few.
Last part is wrong for all high mountains. There will be a point of no return. Meaning once ur past that point you cannot turn around and survive (in case of injury). So if a life threatening storm occurs and ur past the point of no returnβ¦start praying dear child for you are most likely about to die.
I cant get over how passionately he is explaining everything.
Everybody's talking about how amazing this guy guy is talking about weather
Meanwhile I'm like sounds like any other weather presentation to me π€·
Once a hurricane hits land it's not completely calm in the eye there's something called Eddie's that break off due to the friction of the Earth
It's not actually the rubber tires that protects you it's that your car acts more like a Faraday cage
Is he wearing make-up?
Fahrenheit? No thanks, I'm out.
β¦ did you say wildfires can travel across oceans? π³
I just got so much more brain cells
McCauley caulkin studies weather now?
E new lok ce ga ku ne ber?
Around 40 minutes it is mentioned that water is a very good conductor. That isn't true. Water is actually an excellent insulator, it's the debris and particles in the water which are the problem.
Thanks, healthy Elon
In 1980 there were 7 tornados on the ground at the SAME time in GrandIsland Nebraska!
Meteorologist T-1000
I would have loved hearing him explain how african sand storms can move sand particled across the mediteranean into europe or over the atlantic to South America. π
