So climate change just took a,break during the pandemic but now is yet again the eco apocalyptic world ending problem it was prior to the 2 years of non human caused fires?

Are the carbon taxes paying for the combustion materials?

wendy culbert June 18, 2023 at 12:15 pm

So you're telling me all the carbon tax I am paying doesn't go towards controlled burns in effort to reduce wild fires? I've read that the government has greatly reduced these numbers, and it's starting to show.

David Clark June 18, 2023 at 5:56 pm

Do your research Canada is carbon neutral

I hope more carbon taxes will reduce cigarette butts and matches.

Powered up HAARP again I see. So can make it rain for months during the Vietnam war to make the Ho Chi Minh trails ineffective but can not do that in 2023.

There's no way a carbon tax will stop forest fires!!! And it's not a climate crisis!!!

Environment Canada needs to be making clear addresses to Canadians about what the changes in climate are going to mean , just as this discussion focused squarely upon. Environment Canada is a lapdog organization, it doesn't want to create any genuine heightened public consciousness/concern on human induced climate change, because that will have a spillover effect of necessitating that the federal government (and provincial governments) get really aggressive in placing hard borders around the activities/development plans of both Oil and Gas, and the Agricultural/Aviation/Transportation sectors and constraints around construction practices, water usage practices and much more. So the federal government (of any flavour, Liberal, Conservative, or other) keeps a tight lid on the communications activities of Environment Canada….that is obvious, …. EC should be taking a leading role, along with the Environment Ministry. Scientists are shouting at governments around the world to take very serious actions to curtail greenhouse gas emissions drastically. We do not have another decade to squander, we have run out of road.
