I had a love hate relationship with this show. I loved the action and how it brought a relatively niche subject to the masses and was what also got me into meteorology, but I didn't like the hammed up drama between chasers and the way producers sometimes forced the chasers into doing things they didnt want to do.

I’m just going to say it and it’s an unpopular opinion but mr reed timmer has extreme control issues. I Understand this is a stressful situation and he may not be that way in normal circumstances but I’ve seen him forcibly take the video camera from his partner so he could film it himself. It’s always the same.
1 -10: Asks Joel if he has the shot ten times
11: Makes a face that makes him look like he is close to spontaneously combusting
12: he asks him again
13: loses all self control and forcibly yanks the camera from Joel
14. Afterwards Joel refuses to speak to him and threatens to quit
Then the cycle repeats
The probs should be flip a switch and put on ground

Absolutely loved this show. The seasons with just Sean and his team were way better than the ones with reed and all the others.

I always knew the editors had tons of good tornado footage from these chasers but were forced to edit a garbage reality type show with ridiculous drama and corny music. 43 minutes and about four 2 second clips of actual tornados. It's so cool that chasers now have youtube and release excellent content. It shows how bad networks were treating people interested in nature. They felt we wouldn't watch unless it was another crap reality show format and our attention spans were 2 seconds long. I had to waste 1 hour to see 8 seconds of tornados. This is unwatchable after watching all the youtube content on real tornado footage.

Was always a shame that Sean and Reed never got along, Reed would have put him in so many more tornadoes than Josh, who couldn't find anything with all his fancy equipment.

On one episode a storm chaser said this fun? When you see the aftermath of damage to people's property and personal life of destruction…this is not fun.?

I mean very cool stuff.. The risk is your own and to me that doesn't set anyone apart.. I'm watching this TV program right now and it's saying how Disturbed you all are for not being able to catch up with those storms you really have lost perspective. People have died and your pissed off at yourself because you couldn't essentially track the storm that killed them. You're more prepared to look up the skirt of a freaking serial killer and less prepared to show Mercy to the victims when it occurs. I think we have enough evidence to understand and be able to predict with a considerable amount of accuracy the potential of deadly storms. I know that when a tornado touches down in South Eastern Virginia you'll know where will you be found. Very dangerous activity it's lost its charm yeah you hit the nail right on the head kid. Okay time to change the channel

Sean talks up all this bravado, but when things get dangerous, he runs like a little mouse. That is why he has not gotten his perfect shot for over 7 years.
