I was super excited to fly from Burbank, CA to Dallas, TX for my American Airlines face to face (f2f) flight attendant interview and then weird things started to happen on my trip. ๐ฎ Was it a sign?
From a medical emergeny at the airport, to the American Airline pilots slamming on the planes brakes with no warning at takeoff, to my interview shoes breaking DURING the interview, and everything in between, this trip was one for the record books that’s for sure!
Did I survive and more importantly did I get an American Airlines CJO?
And how about that reach test? Did I pass that?
Watch to see the 2 days of travel and craziness all unfoldโฆ..

๐ MORE ABOUT ME:
I have a masters degree in education and taught preschool and elementary school for many years on the east coast (suburbs of Philadelphia, PA). Wanting to live in a warmer climate, I uprooted my life, moved cross-country to Los Angeles, California, and literally chased a Hollywood dream I always had of opening my own business. Pulling on my education & teaching background, I created a fun scooter tour company in Hollywood, CA. I absolutely loved it, but after many years of operating it along with covid reminding me how, although I was showing tourists my amazing city, I was starting to miss out so I knew it was time for a change. I sold my successful business to become a flight attendant, travel, meet amazing people and explore the world!! ๐

I'm so disappointed for you Liz! AA was the video interview I referred to being rescheduled until January 4th! I thought it would've been wild to one day meet each other in training or on the line for AA. Life is interesting like that. It wouldn't shock me at all. I just video interviewed for UA…๐ Hopefully you get that.
Super major shout out to that TA member who gave you those alternate company options! Those are the type of co-workers we ALL wish to have! That elderly gentleman having a health emergency behind you as you ate your oats while smiling was a little heartbreaking can't lie. Thanks for blurring that out. Blessings to him. There's definitely a reason they all liked you at AA.

u could maybe be exposed to avenger machine that makes u into rubber lady or do the rack in my backyard… strreeeeeeetch… ha
Your hair is awful. Be consistent with the color. Are you from the Chicago area originally?? Your accent shows! Most companies like a neutral American accent.
Start practicing yoga. I teach Bikram Yoga and some of my students have grown over two inches practicing. I know I grew a quarter of an inch. Things have a way of working out. It usually makes sense later.
๐Happy Holidays & Congratulations on Alaska Airlines!
What are the airlines that don't have reach test/ height requirements?
I thought you posted that you got a CJO from Alaska?
Do you mind if I ask how tall you are?

Hey Liz! (Subscriber here) I have an F2F interview with AA on Jan. 23rd. Any tips/advice to be successful for the interview?๐
Great vlog! What was the measurements for the reach test and were you barefoot or what? What part of the luggage rack do you have to be able to touch?
Sorry you didnโt get AA. Thatโs the one I fly on.
Question for you Liz? In your video that you posted about a month ago you stated that you got hired by Alaskan Airlines. Why are you continuing to interview with other airlines? Just curious. Happy New Year ๐๐
All the best on your employment journey.
I was dared by friends to apply as a FA at 50. So, I took the dare, with absolutely no expectations. 'Cause it was a dare. Ha! I sailed all the way through, GOT IT! My advice is to NEVER come across as desperate, and almost everyone there came across as that. Be yourself but always professional. As for the process that comes before being formally hired, my impression was and is, do not give this away. There's a reason airlines keep that part quiet. So I respect the interview process accordingly. Let me just say that it was so interesting, and many unexpected challenges occurred, were thrown at me. I had no nervousness at all. My thinking was they'll either like what I have to offer, or they won't. They liked๐
