Extreme weather throughout July has caused havoc across the planet, with temperatures breaking records in China, the United States and southern Europe, sparking forest fires, water shortages, storms and floods.
Wildfires killed 34 people in Algeria and forced the evacuation of thousands of tourists from the Greek island of Rhodes as an intense summer heatwave scorched large areas of the Mediterranean.
Another blaze caused the temporary closure of Palermo airport on the southern Italian island of Sicily on Tuesday, while an overnight storm tore off roofs and brought down trees in the north of the country, killing two people.
In some parts of eastern Sicily, temperatures rose to 47.6 Celsius on Monday, close to a record European high of 48.8 Celsius recorded on the island two years ago.

It was even hotter in North Africa, with temperatures of 49 Celsius recorded in some cities in Tunisia.
Neighbouring Algeria deployed some 8,000 firefighters to bring its deadly fires under control, authorities said.
In Asia, monsoon rains wreaked havoc across Pakistan on Tuesday (July 25), after parts of the commercial capital Karachi were inundated on the previous night.
Meanwhile, China urged fishing boats to seek shelter as Super Typhoon Doksuri spiralled closer to East Asia, potentially reaching deep into China.
Doksuri is likely to be the most powerful typhoon to land in China so far in the storm season this year.
In Pakistan, 13 people died and seven were injured due to heavy rains and landslides as monsoon season continued to affect parts of the country on Sunday.
In the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, nine people lost their lives over the last 48 hours in rain-related incidents.
Cuba recorded record-high temperatures for July on Sunday, when the scorching hot weather drove thermometers up to 39 degrees Celsius, further worsened by a lack of rain.
Without human-induced climate change, the events this month would have been “extremely rare,” according to a study by World Weather Attribution, a global team of scientists that examines the role played by climate change in extreme weather.

So ein Blödsinn, 95% der Feuer werden von Menschen gelegt. Das hat mit Klimawandel gar nichts zu tun
Humanity deserves everything that it gets….
I wonder what group is behind the weather machines ?
Something that’s been happening for millions of years every day…
Can we please get some investigation and reporting into how all of these fires were started? Were they natural (i.e. from lightening strikes) or man-made arson?
Clearly the esteemed scientists at The Times believe no weather is normal
Never seen this happen before, and I’m 60…must be aliens are mad we don’t have electric flying saucers
Hmm… Was my comment deleted because of the content?
To save ourselves and the planet when climate catastroρhes are on the rise, we need to build a safe and peaceful Creative Society, where human life will be the highest value, so everything will be done to secure and improve it.
it's because of J. Biden's lies and deception and that he sold out the United States
I don't understand, i thought it was going to start raining when we started paying carbon taxes ?!?!?
More euthanasia clinics can help reduce population like in Canada. Banning people from leaving town/county – driving/flying will help reduce Britain's carbon footprint!
I can't wait for the expert's suggestions, will it apply to China and India? No, probably not… On the upside, the jet stream's done the UK a favour this summer!
As one of the world's leading climate denial rags spreading lies and conspiracy theories for over a decade telegraph bears responsibility for a portion of the damages.
Thanos would be proud
Comments with anything less than a hysterical perspective on the so-called 'climate crisis' are being deleted. Shameful.
Read Malachi in Revelations. Repent before it's too late.
We. Are. F****d
This is arson not climate change.
Same people laughing at Prius drivers aren’t laughing now.
So the Government’s create the weather chaos with Geo Engineering and the Tax payer has to suffer.

Climate change ..not c02 emissions …its sin emissions
Gotta pay the climate and environmental damage price of the Great Industrial Revolution itself. Foolish activities of many always comes around to them.
Harp
the island will be renamed Roast Island 😂😂
We should expel all the Pakistanis from this country so we have no more arson incidents
Judgement is here. Repent.
I wonder if DEW set these other mega fires?
