Following last week’s deadly parking garage collapse in Lower Manhattan, NYC building department said an emergency review has found 61 locations with parking garages that require immediate attention. FOX 5 NY’s Arthur Chi’en has the details.

You want to better the community?
Reward them with achievements. (not scholarships, or badges)
Make knowledge a competition. Hosting tournaments on who is the smartest.
I know we already have that but make it real. Every year or 2 years millions of people compete to win 1 million dollars in a 5 million dollar prize pool on knowledge and school topics
The prize pool needs to be big to be relevant in people's eyes.
Have it televised and endorsed like the super bowl
That way people are more focused on being smart and not criminals
They are all twatheads….they send inspectors you get a waiver and no mandates implemented to repair. They can't force any repairs. I nearly died twice in my home apartment of 40 years due to inspectors of nyc buildings and the bribes they took from the landlord
NY is old city allready. Allmost half city must reconstruct, rebuild. America is not new anymore. Old theories, old systems and so on , so on. Everything looks old, like musicvideos from 70 s
Starting with the company that built the one that collapsed they should check Garages that they built first!

The city is old, it's really fortunate and also a testament to the quality of construction that this doesn't happen more. Say what you want about the mob back in the day, but they could sure lay some quality concrete😂
And they still have the nerve to charge people over $100 to park your car for the whole day and come to find out these garages are all broke down.

This happened in Harlem but it wasn’t reported. The elevator to deliver cars were held hostage. Why because of the community all black neighborhood I stand on that💨🧢
