Dinosaurs Looked Nothing Like in Movies and 30 Myths We Believe

There’re so many facts in the world we assume to be common knowledge without even checking. However, they often turn out to be misconceptions. Bright Side has recalled and destroyed 30 myths about the world. One of them: dinosaurs actually looked nothing like they’re portrayed in the movies, but rather like… turkeys. Watch this video to learn about how some of the most well-known “facts” are false.

Whoever made this video and said that salt doesn't help water boil faster has never had to put cold water in a pan to heat it up because either the gas company decides to run air in the lines or your hot water tank has sediments in it. Without adding salt I would be waiting quit a while for my water to boil.

Stephanie Anderson July 11, 2022 at 8:17 am

Actually this is a lie. They found a imprint of T Rex’s skin and they now know what a tea Rex look like. They do not have feathers. Sorry but you are out of date.

clickbait, the tyrannosaurus did not have feathers. The tyrannosaurus has been proven to have scales by paleontologists

Louis Da Giant Rat July 15, 2022 at 7:04 pm

The scientifically accurate tyrannosaur had scales in most areas of its body, it is possible for it to have feathers in some areas though

Wendell LeCroy July 15, 2022 at 7:18 pm

Yes, many dinosaurs, particularly theropods, had feathers. But I think we are jumping on a fad to assume all of them wore bright plumage. The biggest problem for most large animals is staying cool, being exothermic by virtue of sheer size; you don't see thick fur on modern elephants living in the tropics. Until we have evidence that T Rex was strutting around like a peacock, I think it is safer to assume that plumage, if any, was scant. Particularly if you are a predator, muted colors in shades of green and brown would be better at allowing you to sneak up on prey. And yes, it is believed that most dinosaurs could see colors. Mammals largely lost this ability by living nocturnal lifestyles during the Mesozoic. It took time for primates to get this back because of a preponderance for sweets.
