Flooding in Northern Italy has killed at least 11 people and forced thousands more to evacuate their homes less than a year after a historic drought. The region has been battered by torrential rain, triggering floods and landslides. CBS News foreign correspondent Chris Livesay has more.

Such flooding is not new in Southern Europe in summer.
Land was so parched due to historical drought that it could not absorb sudden rainfall, hence historical floods……………….Also historical floods because there never was so much land occupied by so much man-made concrete structures, beating all previous history.
