Welcome to the Channel,
This video highlights the worst conditions to play in such as mud, hail, heavy rain and even snow. As always sub to the channel because it helps out the grind and like the video.
I remember back in the 70's Sth Melbourne played Carlton at the Lakeside Oval and the fog was so thick players couldn't see who they were kicking the ball to.
My dad played in such bad fog and he broke his leg and he was stuck on the oval for 5 hours coz they forgot about him and couldn't see him so he was just yelling in pain I feel bad
As a geelong supporter I'm used to going to the football in the freezer temp and the rain. And I always laugh as often when it's bucketing down you can't actually see it in the broadcast. So some of these look absolutely insane knowing that
The one where the ground was actully a lake due to flooding. What happened to that game? Was it cleared somehow or was it cancelled. Or they just played on a lake
Not football but sports related. I played netball for about 5 years, one memorable game was when it was 8 degrees on the court with 2 degree pelting rain, and because there was no thunder we had to play for the whole hour. By the end of it my hands were shaking so hard I couldn't undo the laces of my shoes.
Round 10, 1999 Brisbane went down to the Western Bulldogs by 22 at the Gabba. They were playing in essentially a lake. I’d do anything to get this game on some sort of hard copy or digital reproduction.

I remember when Geelong flooded badly. The photos are even crazier.
I remember a Geelong vs Fremantle game in 2004 where it was so cold some of the Fremantle players suffered mild hypothermia.

0:24 I see nothing wrong with that, why aren't they out there playing?!!!
What about the Gold Coast vs Sydney game when the centre circle was flooding so they had to ball up the ball on the edge of the square?
Played against Mansfield in Mansfield years ago in the snow, never been so cold in my life.
Like WAFL need any more excuses for a low scoring game lmfao
