I'm really enjoying the respite from the summer time heat that's been prevalent here in NorCal for the last few years, (along with the accompanying wildfires and smoke.)

What's the difference between a Jetstream and an atmospheric river?

Thank you so much for your weather education. Can I put in an order for a cool summer in California & zero wildfires?? πŸ˜‚

I do not miss the heat. Would love a little Seattle weather here in Northern California. 😊

I've never complained about the marine layer as being without it..Ihave to turn on the A/C. Any way sunshine is often only half hour's drive east..that's my version of controlling the weather!

Are we on a pause for El NiΓ±o ?

Thank you for focusing on the West Coast. We are forgotten by most weather broadcasters. We're close to the Sierras here in Nevada and watch your forecasts regularly.

The sun hasn't been out in days and days in Whittier, CA! πŸ™‚ Intense marine layer this year…

You have the best and most useful weather channel I have seen and that is coming from a weather nerd. Have really enjoyed the cool down here in Lake Havasu City, mid to upper 90's for around a week. That sounds very hot but or humidity is extremely low so it feels very comfortable, if you are in the shade. LHC is right on the SoCal/AZ border on the Colorado River that is the eastern most spot of Californian in the Mojave Desert. I think we hold the highest recorded temperature of a CITY, not the highest temp recorded, in the US, of 128*. Correct me if I am wrong. We spend much of the summer months when the temp does not go under 100* mark for weeks (that's nighttime low temp).

It's been so pleasantly cooler than it has been in the last six years, in the Sierras πŸ™‚

Can you show the Total Precipitation more often? It's my favorite part thanks!

Just finding your channel, love the weather education! Can I ask, are the cooler temps and thick cloud cover here in SoCal because of the Monsoonal shift? It seems that SoCal wouldn't typically experience monsoonal weather. I'm in Agoura Hills, about 9 miles from the coast and we typically experience hot weather during this time of year by now (80s, 90s), but we've been stuck between high 50s and low 70s for months. Should we expect this to continue throughout the Summer? Kind of missing the Sun πŸ˜•
