There are no "hauntings" in the sense everyone wants to believe.
There are only demons who, it should be pointed out, lo-ooooooooooooooooooooooove to plague people.
The spirits of the dead don't hang around. They don't even drift around their former home looking for "fulfillment."
I've been to "haunted houses" that were legitimately "haunted" and there is no two ways about it: those houses were POSSESSED, and possibly the people that lived in them as well. The feeling is always the same when you step on the grounds: deep seated, pure, elemental hate and malice is bent on you intensely. And a subtle sense of horror and great fear.
It's not YOUR fear, that's not what I mean.
It's ITS fear; a fear so deep and pure it's hard to really comprehend if you haven't ever felt it before.
