The black death killed an estimated 75 million people making it one of the most important events in history. Even today, the name is synonymous with death. Another important event in history is the industrial revolution. We would not be where we are today as far as technological advancement if it wasn’t for the industrial revolution. Of course, there are also wars such as World War I and II, Greco-Persian wars, and the American Revolution. Check out other events that shaped the world as we know it as we explore these 25 most important events in history.

Which of these historical events do you think is the most important? – Juan
#1. Man's control over fire. #2. Invention of the wheel.
HORRIBLE list.
The world was affected by jfk assassination, how did the Berlin wall affect the world
I love history

Bozo
This sucks
I believe the life, death and resurrection of Christ is #1 but obviously not all agree. Aside from that, I find this list interesting. It's very geared to the last two and a half centuries. I acknowledge that knowledge and change are accelerating. Yet how is the assassination of JFK on a par with the Gutenberg press or the Roman empire or the industrial revolution in world history? Understanding history broadens our perspective beyond the recent.
here a better title
25 Most IMPORTANT Events In The History of Europe.
The united states actually sent the first object into space unintentionally by use of nuclear explosion underground sending an incredibly heavy iron manhole for lack of a better word into space years before sputnik.. just sayin…. good list overall 1-10 I give it 7 solid

The dump i just took after two Mcgriddles and a Budweiser.
This is a very American POV. Not mankind as a whole
The birth of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace
It is the most important event that happened in human history
Next times add dates
JFK assassination didn't change the course of America, let alone the world.
straight away number 25 i can't agree with, it's demonazing Persians as savages without culture while they were pretty advanced and had cool religion and also treated good the kings and their kingdomes with a lot of autonomy
Extremely narrow and American biased list. Vietnam War isn't even a footnote. No ancient Egypt. No agriculture revolution. JFKs assumptions are ridiculous. That's an awful list.
Where is Napoleon and the following Concert of Europe, the Birth of Germany which upsetted the balance of power, the Crimean War and the changes in Medicine such as the creation of the Red cross and the Fall of the Berlin Wall effectively ending the Cold War.
This list is to much americanised.
Although I will give credit for mentioning the Mongol Empire.
No Magna Carta?
Slavery does continue today, its practically legal in many parts of Southeast Asia, at least not prosecuted if not illegal.
Cuban missile crisis is top 5, the world would be completely wiped out by now if JFK didn’t save the world
3:29 did I miss hear or did he really just say few people would say Genghis Khan Changed History. I'm going to assume he misspoke or he said something so asinine to see if people were listening
Hitler not being accepted to the Arts university…
What they call the bourgeois have only but prolonged the war and ruined countless peoples lives through decadence
My choice for the most important event in world history is the Battle of Djahy. It was fought in 1178 B.C. or 1175 B.C. between the Egyptian Empire and the invading coalition of armies known today as the Sea Peoples during the Late Bronze Age collapse. If the Egyptians had lost that battle, then the Egyptian Empire would have fallen to a duel invasion from land and the more numerous navy of the Sea Peoples on its way to attack Egypt up the mouth of the Nile River.
The Late Bronze Age was suffering from drought and famine lasting roughly 300 years, diseases, and great numbers of earthquakes lasting over about a 50 year span, everywhere that is, except in Egypt. Egypt was the place to resettle to for long-term inhabitation. The Sea Peoples were likely mostly a large group of people working together to plunder for survival. Every major power including the Mycenaeans and the Hittites were laid waste, and virtually every city around and throughout the Mediterranean was either abandoned or destroyed leading into a dark age lasting around 300 years before written records show up again.
If the Sea Peoples had defeated the Egyptian Empire and established a new one, they'd have centuries to establish control over a large area for at least a couple hundred years before the greatly diminished Assyria Empire could pose any challenge to them. If they kept up their strong tradition of seamanship, then they'd end up controlling all of the Mediterranean and coastlines. There would be no Carthage, Roman Empire, or Ancient Greek philosophy or Democracy, and so forth. Our world would be unrecognizable today if the Egyptians had decisively lost that battle.
What about 9/11
Shoulda waited about a year or so to make this video…
18😭
Personally, I would say my first orgasm was more important than most of these events.
WoW
This obviously wasn't done in numerical order
britain, which at the point of de-legalising slavery was still a massive empire, had abolished slavery decades before america. it's doubtful that even without the influence of amsrica and the civil war the ruling monarchs would have allowed slavery to continue in its lands.
Alexander had a failed campaign at invading India ,
In a campaign at Sangla in Punjab, the Indian attack was so ferocious it completely destroyed the Greek cavalry, forcing Alexander to attack on foot. In the next battle, against the Malavas of Multan, he was felled by an Indian warrior whose arrow pierced the Macedonian's breastplate and ribs.
The wounds sunstained by him both physically and mentally costed him his life after 1 year of India's Invasion Campaign
I saw testimony of how economy helped a man make -$50,000 weekly Profit I tried now am also sharing my testimony with over,$10,000 from the company thanks for the good did he has done for me for this short period of time
I’m thinking of ‘Spaceballs’ and just want “the short, short version!”
for a moment I thought LBJ was Lebron James
Did you seriously not include the years of these events?
Correction. 14 ‘European colonialism. This created greater wrath for European but slavery and impoverishment for everyone else’ . Wrong. Slavery existed in EVERY society. Europeans engaged in the slave trades of other countries. Colonization did NOT lead to impoverishment – it actually brought enormous wealth to every country where it happened.
Correction: 11 American civil war. It had wide ranging effects across the world. With America making slavery illegal slavery basically collapsed. lOl . Ameeica wasn’t the first to ban slavery. Britain was! America just copied years later!!
What about Vlad the impaler, the first Elizabethan age, the Spanish Inquisition, the American gold rush, Lincoln's assassination, Helen Keller's breakthrough, the revolution of the automobile, the first flight, and 9/11?? Also very important events in history… 😉
The life of Jesus should be WAY higher. It's hard to think of many things that had more influence for a longer time.
