Top Fives: 15 Largest Abandoned Cities on Earth π
With how overpopulated China is itβs really amazing to me that there are so many abandon cities that can hold so many people
Pripyat is definitely the most famous of the abandoned cities I would say. Also, a prime example of what can go wrong when you mess around with nuclear power.
Centralia USA
yes…mostly becoming massive ghost towns
0:08 you make cities sound a lot nicer then they are, like they donβt smell like shit-
18:44 …imposing bans of…soccer That's ridiculous! Who the f. wrote this? Soccer wasn't popular that time (1920's) and, even when it became popular, it should never be a problem.
I wish I had my own fucking city and I wouldnβt let anyone in especially my wife and kids !!!!π€¬

I find this so exceptionally unfair and wrong! Except for the dangerous places….yet there are people all over the world that do not have any protection over them.
Great video, but not everyone speaks robot…
No self awareness? Top Fives: Top 15… π
Detroit?
It seems like they're all places that we're once inhabited and thriving with the exception of some found in Asia. I don't understand why the government builds entire cities, full of residential buildings prematurely. What are they anticipating?
It's Simple History!!!
11:31 Itβs a mistake itβs a part video of Catalonia, Spain in a place called Montserrat due to the mountains that you can see at the left side.
Me watching this at 2:35 AM
Ive been To Oradour sur glane France, it Will gives you goosebump.
Can't visit Pripyat right now. Gotta wait for Ukraine to run off the Russians.
Anyone else love the look of cities being overgrown with nature?it gives a good feeling like nature is growing back
So who dares to criticise the commonwealth,, mntserat?
There is a really great young adult historical fiction novel called the Alice Network that tells about Oradour sur Glane. A character tells a an account of what happened based on the actual events of the massacre. Highly recommend the book, but itβs a bit heavy at times (obviously).
Very interesting video, thank you. Just a note though: Basilicata (first video) is an Italian region, not a province.
(Italy is full of abandoned cities BTW, like Bussana Vecchia, Liguria and Consonno, Lombardy)
Forlandia is not abandoned. Thousands of native people who's parents and grandparents worked there never left. Some of the older generation worked on the plantation or the machine shop while the place was still being ran by the Fords. Also real rubber is not obsolete and is still used in many things including tire production. Also Fordlandia was not abruptly sold because of the newer location. It was used as a research facility before being sold of by Henry Ford's son later for only a couple hundred thousand to the Brazilian Government. Also there was no logistical nightmare when it came to not having roads to or from either location because The Amazon is the road. The locations where chosen because of it being on a branch of the Amazon and easily accessible to the coastal inlet to the Amazon River. You can still go to both locations and local people will be there. Henry Ford exploited these people. He deserved to fail.
Parang nakita ko na sa movie na peninsula amaybe i think not sure
You know nothing about China. If fact, we build whole cities base on well calculated planned infrastructure before moving in people. That's why you see the layouts of Beijing, Xi'an, and many historical cities from space are ins square and symmetrical shapes.
I guess there's an abandoned mining town in Chile that even the local Chileans won't go near due to rumors of hauntings. I'll try Googling it.
How come all of the voices of these top five top ten channels have similar voices, are you secretly the guy from the infographics show? π
pronounces "tems" not themes
In ten year flint Michigan going to be on this list
This dude's voice sounds familiar
Here for Namibia π³π¦
you for got the one in oklahoma it was a town and the shut it down and it still abandond i dont remember why i just know that it is still where people cant go in because it has radiation
That mine seems very similar to the one in Tomb Raider.
You apparently didn't research it, but "Thames" is pronounced "temz", not "thaymes".
Eichmann is pronounced "ike-man", not 'eek-man".
I Wonder What A Turrest Is
I have great respect for the Chinese, their culture, planning, and ingenuity. Labeling these cities as ghost cities, etc. is like criticizing an artist's painting before it is finished. These are beautiful places and the logic behind their development is sound. The utilization of education and subsequent changes is just the beginning of what is to come. The video clearly confirms that the original idea behind the development of these cities is working. Congratulations to all involved! Coert Mommsen, Potchefstroom, South Africa
I wanna go there
Kennecott reminds me of the flicking tf2 map.
"Cyprians" ππππ
I went to school with a Cypriot lad who had escaped from Famagusta. Apparently, there are brand new cars still sitting in dealer showrooms from 1974, zero miles on the clock, covered in a thick layer of dust.
I was due to visit Pripyat, Chernobyl and the 'DUGA' radar site this summer, but Putin put paid to that idea!

i didn't know cayo perico based on a real island..
Abandoned citys turned into towns and also not Abandoned citys
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?…"
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?
